Harvey Kuenn had 2 base hits and Murry Dickson didn't allow a hit until the
7th inning as the Washington Nationals defeated the Kansas City Athletics by
a score of 5 to 0 at Griffith Stadium.

Dickson(3-0) had a solid outing for Washington.  He surrendered 3 hits and 5
walks in 7 and 2/3 innings reducing his ERA from 2.84 to 2.18.  The
right-handed Dickson lost his chance for a no-hitter when Ed Bailey singled
with two outs in the 7th inning.  Washington had 6 hits for the night while
Kansas City had 3.  

Roy Face gained credit for his 5th save.  Frank Lary(2-2) was given the loss.
He surrendered 5 runs and 6 hits in 7 innings.
