Third baseman Harmon Killebrew added four ribbies to his seasonal total with
one swing of the bat and Harvey Haddix completed the game without help from
the bullpen as the Brooklyn Dodgers topped the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score
of 9 to 4 at Ebbets Field.

Killebrew helped send the fans home happy.  He laced a single plating a run in
the 4th inning and electrified the crowd with a Grand Slam home run in the
5th inning.  Brooklyn had 11 hits for the afternoon.  

Haddix(2-2) allowed 4 runs on the game. The loss was charged to Dick
Donovan(1-2).  He allowed 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
