WEB GEMS- Top 3rd: Nellie Fox robbed Al Kaline of a base hit.

Al Rosen slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds staged a
dramatic comeback over the Cleveland Indians by a score of 6 to 5 at Crosley
Field.

Cincinnati had the winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs on 4 base hits.
Gil McDougald led off and started the attack as he banged out a single.
Bill Virdon was next and he laced a base-knock. Ted Kluszewski then ripped a
base-hit resulting in a run. After an out was recorded, Nellie Fox stepped
in and he doubled resulting in an exciting win for Cincinnati and a raucous
post-game celebration by the home town fans. Cincinnati banged out 10 hits
on the night.

The win was credited to Wally Burnette(1-1) who went 1 inning allowing no
runs. Don Mossi(0-1) took the loss in relief. 'That was exciting!,' Rosen
said. 'I would have paid money to watch this one.'
