Gus Bell lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI at Municipal Stadium
as the Washington Nationals, running on all cylinders, ripped the Cleveland
Indians by a large 13 to 3 margin.

Murry Dickson(1-0) gave a fine effort for Washington.  He went 7 innings and
surrended up 7 hits and no walks lowering his ERA from 5.68 to 4.05.
Washington had 18 hits overall, while Cleveland had 10.  

The losing pitcher was Roger Craig(2-1).  He was unable to control the
Washington offense and allowed 9 hits and 5 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
