Dick Rudolph completed the game without help from the bullpen and Art Wilson
had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Chicago Cubs defeated the Washington Nationals 7
to 2 at West Side Park.

Washington found themselves trailing quickly as the Chicago bats came through
in the first inning as they scored 3 runs on 3 base hits.  That early scoring
was all that Rudolph(1-0) needed.  Chicago rapped out 12 hits for the
afternoon.  

Carl Weilman(0-2) was hit with the loss.  He allowed 9 hits and 1 walk in 6
innings.
