The New York Giants pitching coach might be looking for a new job soon. His
team allowed 10 runs while Rube Foster(1-0), with relief help from Pat Ragan,
constrained New York in a laugher.

It was a good day for Philadelphia thanks to Jimmy Walsh. He cracked a
two-run shot in the 4th inning and doubled scoring two baserunners in the 5th
inning. Philadelphia had many opportunities throughout the game and scored
in 6 separate innings.

Foster got help from Ragan who was credited with his 1st save. The losing
pitcher was Bob Shawkey(0-1). He was not very effective, surrendering 8 runs
in 5 and 2/3 innings.
