Center fielder Larry Doby launched 2 homeruns and scored 3 times and Tom
Brewer allowed Rob Hickok to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the
Cincinnati Reds beat the Brooklyn Dodgers by a score of 8 to 2.

Doby provided the offensive punch.  He clubbed a solo home run in the 2nd
inning, lashed a single in the 4th inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the
park in the 6th inning.  Cincinnati finished with 7 hits in the victory.
