Doc McJames completed the game without help from the bullpen and Jake Stenzel
had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Philadelphia
Phillies by a score of 9 to 7 at Union Park.

Philadelphia was unable to recover after Baltimore went ahead in the 4th
inning scoring one runner.  Baltimore managed 12 hits in their victory.

McJames(5-0) got the victory, allowing 7 runs for the game. George
Wheeler(2-1) was tagged with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 12 hits
and 3 walks in 8 innings.  

'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his
best stuff,' Ned Hanlon said after the game.  'McJames did not have command
of his pitches most of the afternoon, but he proved he really knew how to
pitch!'
