Nap Lajoie had 4 hits and 5 RBI and Red Ames was able to finish what he
started and was credited with a complete game as the Cincinnati Reds
outscored the Washington Nationals 7 to 2.

Lajoie provided the offensive punch.  He delivered a one-base hit resulting in
a run in the 2nd inning, banged out a single bringing in a run in the 4th
inning, laced a base-knock scoring two baserunners in the 5th inning and
lined a base-hit which scored a run in the 7th inning.  Cincinnati finished
with 10 hits in the victory.  

The victory was credited to Ames(3-6) who went the distance, allowing 2 runs.
Jean Dubuc(2-2) ended up with the loss.
