Zack Wheat cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Philadelphia Athletics
defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers 6 to 3 at Shibe Park.

Wheat enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He popped a two-run clout over the
fence in the 4th inning and smashed a two-run homer in the 5th inning.
Philadelphia banged out 9 hits on the afternoon.  

Rube Foster(3-1) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Foster got
help from Guy Morton who was credited with his 2nd save.  Nick Cullop(2-4)
was given the loss.  He surrendered 9 hits and no walks in 8 innings.
