In a game at Ebbets Field the Detroit Tigers got by the Brooklyn Dodgers by
the score of 8 to 5.

Dutch Zwilling enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He banged out a single
knocking in a run in the 1st inning and smashed a two-run homer in the 7th
inning.  Detroit had 16 hits for the game and Brooklyn had 9.  

Doc Ayers(4-2) went 8 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory. Christy
Mathewson(2-2) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed 11 hits and 3 walks in 7
innings.
