TEAM RISP- Cubs: 5 for 10 Reds: 7 for 13

Jim Lemon had 5 hits and 3 RBI at Crosley Field as the Chicago-NL Cubs beat
the Cincinnati Reds 12 to 10.

Lemon had a big day at the plate. He ripped a single in the 1st inning,
lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 2nd inning, doubled
in the 3rd inning, lined a base-hit bringing in a run in the 4th inning and
lashed a one-base hit in the 9th inning. Due to a poorly pitched ballgame,
scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for Cincinnati to come
away with the victory.

The winning pitcher was Robin Roberts(2-1) who allowed 8 runs in 7 innings.
Ron Kline(1-3) was given the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 6 innings of
work.

'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Roberts, 'I was
just giving us a chance to win.'
