Roberto Clemente had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Cleveland Indians beat the
New York-AL Yankees by a score of 10 to 4.

A hugely decisive outburst by Cleveland in the bottom of the 8th inning
quieted any New York-AL hopes for a victory as they creamed New York-AL
blasting them with 9 runs on 9 hits. The highlight belonged to George Kell
who electrified Municipal Stadium when he banged out a single which was good
for two runs. Cleveland had 13 hits for the afternoon while New York-AL had
8.

Tom Sturdivant(3-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Don
Gross(1-1) was tagged with the loss in relief. He gave up 6 runs and 6 hits
in 1 inning.
