Stan Musial launched 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Curt Simmons completed the
game without help from the bullpen at Griffith Stadium where the Brooklyn
Dodgers beat the Washington Nationals 10 to 3.

Musial was a source of great heartache for the Washington faithful all day.
He just kept pounding out hits! He lifted one out of the park for a two run
home run in the 1st inning, doubled knocking in a run in the 3rd inning and
clubbed a two-run home run in the 7th inning. Brooklyn finished with 12 hits
in the victory.

Simmons(5-4) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Warren
Spahn(5-7) took the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 7 innings.

'I didn't feel that good when I came to the park today,' Musial said. 'I'm
glad I decided to play!'
