defeated the Cleveland Indians 9 to 8 at Municipal Stadium.
The game was decided in the top of the 9th inning. Frank Bolling slapped a
base-hit. After an out was recorded, Frank Robinson came to bat and drew a
walk. Gil Hodges then stroked a single scoring the run. The score went
back-and-forth with the lead changing 6 times.
Lew Burdette(11-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Marv
Grissom earned his 15th save. Don Mossi(3-2) was the loser in relief. He
surrendered 1 run and 3 hits in 1 inning.
