the St. Louis Browns - the final score was 15 to 5.

The game started off with Washington taking the lead in the first as they
erupted for 7 runs on 7 hits.  That was all the offense they were to need.
Washington kept the scorekeepers busy in the 1st inning which saw them plate
7 runs on 7 hits and the 7th inning which saw them score 4 runs on 3 hits.
Washington finished with 16 hits while St. Louis ended up with 9.  

The winning pitcher was Bob Harmon(4-7) who allowed 5 runs in 7 innings. Rube
Marquard(3-3) was the loser.  'Thankfully we got ourselves a win', Harmon
said.  'It's great to be back on the winning side of things.'
