Clint Conatser had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Yankee Stadium where the
Cincinnati Reds beat the New York Yankees by the score of 2 to 0.

Cincinnati jumped on top to stay in the 7th inning plating an isolated run
using 2 hits. Although they lost, New York did out-hit Cincinnati 12 to 8.

The winning pitcher was Dutch Leonard(5-2) who allowed no runs in 8 innings.
Leonard got relief help from Preacher Roe who gained credit for his 1st save.
Johnny Vander Meer(2-8) was the losing pitcher. He was pinned with the loss
despite not allowing an earned run in his 7 innings of work.

'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his
best stuff,' Rob Hickok said after the game. 'Leonard did not have command
of his pitches most of the afternoon, but he proved he really knew how to
pitch!'
