Art Wilson had 3 base hits and 3 RBI and Larry Cheney was able to finish what
he started and was credited with a complete game as the Chicago Cubs
outscored the St. Louis Browns 11 to 6.

St. Louis fell behind quickly as the Chicago offense came through in the first
inning with 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits.  Heinie Groh led off and got things
going when he stroked a base-hit.  Dode Paskert stepped into the batter's box
and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  One out later, Wilson then reached on an
error which scored a run.  John Hummel followed next and he tripled scoring
the final run of the inning.  Chicago banged out 12 hits on the afternoon.

The win was credited to Cheney(2-6) who went the whole way allowing 6 runs.
The loss was charged to Rube Marquard(3-6).  He allowed Chicago 10 runs in 6
innings of work.  

Chicago now has a record of 33-29.  With the loss, the St. Louis ballclub's
record is 36-27.
