In an embarrassing outing for the Philadelphia Phillies pitching staff,
Cincinnati Reds flexed their collective muscle amassing 10 runs as Noodles
Hahn(5-2), with relief help from Charlie Chech, surrendered 2 runs to
Philadelphia.

Cincinnati jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring 3 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. Miller Huggins led off the inning for Cincinnati when
he doubled. Shad Barry came next and he reached on an error. After an out
was recorded, Barry got a great jump and stole second easily. Cy Seymour was
up next and he doubled knocking home two runners. Tommy Corcoran stepped
