Art Fletcher had 2 base hits at West Side Park as the amazing Philadelphia
Athletics belted the Chicago Cubs by the count of 10 to 0.

Philadelphia drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
when they came up with 4 runs on 4 hits.  That scoring would be all that was
needed.  Philadelphia ended up with 14 hits for the game while Chicago had 6.

Al Demaree(6-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 6 innings. Pat
Ragan recorded the save, his 9th.  Larry Cheney(1-6) took the loss.  He
allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 14 hits and 2 walks in 5
innings.
