The game started off with Cincinnati taking the lead in the first when they
came up with 5 runs on 8 hits.  That early run support was enough for Art
Fowler(4-5) and Cincinnati.  Cincinnati kept the scorekeepers busy in the 1st
inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 8 hits.  Overall Cincinnati out-hit
Chicago-NL 21 to 9.  

Mike Garcia(2-2) was the loser.  He was not very effective, surrendering 7
