Carl Weilman completed the game without help from the bullpen and right
fielder Gus Williams had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the St. Louis Browns topped
the Cleveland Naps by a score of 8 to 6 at Sportsman'S Park.

Weilman(7-4) pitched okay, well enough for the win.  He surrendered 12 hits
and 8 walks in 9 innings.  Cleveland had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.  

Lefty James(3-3) was tagged with the loss.  He was touched for 8 hits and 2
walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.  'I was a little good, a little bad and a little
ugly.' said Weilman, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
