Miller Huggins stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk. Amos Strunk then drew a walk to load the bases. Roger Bresnahan stepped in and he drew a walk which brought home a run. Hoblitzell stepped into the box and doubled making New York the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 5 times in all. The win went to Stan Baumgartner(1-0) who allowed 2 runs in 2 innings.
