Jack Taylor pitched a complete game at League Park as the St. Louis Browns
beat the Cleveland Spiders by the count of 8 to 1.

Cleveland was unable to claim the lead after St. Louis went ahead in the 4th
inning when they tallied 2 runs on 1 hit.  The key offensive moment was
provided by Taylor who deflated the crowd as he bombed a two-run dinger.  St.
Louis rapped out 12 hits for the afternoon.  

The win was credited to Taylor(7-11) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
The loss was charged to Cowboy Jones(2-1).  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 12 hits and 7 walks in 9 innings.
