With the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats, New York-AL Yankees came
from behind to top Brooklyn Dodgers, 6 to 5.

New York-AL came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
plating 2 runs using 3 hits.  Hank Aaron started the inning off right when he
tripled.  Hal Naragon came to the plate and lined a one-base hit, and an
error was also committed, driving in a run.  Vic Power then lined a single
making New York-AL the victors to the delight of the home town faithful.  New
York-AL finished with 9 hits in the victory.  

The win was credited to Don Gross(3-2) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing no
runs. Clem Labine(2-7) suffered the loss in relief.  He allowed 3 hits and no
walks without retiring a batter.
