Doc Lavan had 2 base hits and 4 RBI at Ebbets Field where the Brooklyn Dodgers
beat the slumping Washington Nationals by the score of 11 to 7.

Brooklyn tallied 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning when they came up with
4 base hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Lavan who brought the crowd
to their feet when he tripled which was good for two runs.  Offensively,
Brooklyn was a juggernaut.  They scored in 6 separate innings.  

The winning pitcher was George McQuillan(6-1) who allowed no runs in 4
innings. The loss was charged to Joe Boehling(3-5).  He was hit hard and gave
up 16 hits and 6 walks in 8 innings.
