Hank Bauer smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds defeated
the Chicago-NL Cubs by the score of 9 to 6 at Crosley Field.

Bauer had a big day at the plate.  He cracked a solo homerun in the 3rd inning
and cracked a two-run shot in the 5th inning.  Ray Crone(4-4) was helped out
by Nellie King who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 14th save.

Robin Roberts(6-8) was charged with the loss.  The winning ways continue for
Cincinnati.  They now have a record of 8-2 in recent days.  Chicago-NL has a
record of 37-46 after the loss.
