The Brooklyn Dodgers pitching staff was overwhelmed by the amazing Kansas City
Athletics lineup who plated 13 runs while Lew Burdette(17-2)with support from
the bullpen surrendered 3 runs to Brooklyn.

Wally Moon had a good day at the plate.  He banged out a single in the 3rd
inning, tripled bringing home two baserunners in the 4th inning and popped a
two-run clout over the fence in the 6th inning.  Kansas City dominated
offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.  

Hal Brown(3-4) was hit with the loss.  He gave up 7 hits and 3 walks in 5
innings.
