Center fielder Duke Snider smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Chicago-NL
Cubs bested the Cincinnati Reds 12 to 5 at Crosley Field.

Snider propelled Chicago-NL to victory.  He tripled bringing in a run in the
2nd inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 3rd inning and
smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 6th inning.  Chicago-NL out-hit
Cincinnati for the game, 14 hits to 9.  

The win was credited to Mike Garcia(6-5) who went 6 innings allowing no runs.
Tom Poholsky(5-8) was charged with the loss.  He served up 3 homeruns in his
5 innings.  

Snider was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the
ball real well now.  I made some adjustments last week and they are paying
off.  That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes
along.'
