First baseman Ted Kluszewski had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Tom Brewer was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game at Crosley Field
where the Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago-NL Cubs 12 to 3.

The Cincinnati fans enjoyed the offense provided by Kluszewski.  He laced a
single in the 1st inning, banged out a one-base hit in the 3rd inning,
clubbed a three-run home run in the 4th inning and smacked a single in the
6th inning.  Cincinnati rapped out 17 hits for the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Brewer(11-5) who allowed 3 runs for the game. Sal
Maglie(4-5) was the loser.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 9
hits and 2 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.  

With this win, Cincinnati has a 46-39 record.  They have been 7-3 lately.
With the loss Chicago-NL now has a record of 38-47.
