In a close game it was the Cincinnati Reds 4, the Brooklyn Dodgers 2 at
Crosley Field.

Cincinnati jumped out to the early lead in the first inning when they scored 2
runs on 3 hits.  After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.  

Tom Poholsky(7-8) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 6 innings. Nellie King
recorded the save, his 18th.  Jim Brosnan(2-3) was the losing pitcher.  

The Cincinnati ballclub's record now stands at 57-44.  With the loss Brooklyn
now has a record of 40-45.
