Warren Spahn had a complete game at Yankee Stadium as the Washington Nationals
beat the New York-AL Yankees by the count of 6 to 3.

Washington took the lead for keeps in the 5th inning as they scored 2 runs on
3 base hits.  Washington rapped out 16 hits for the afternoon.  

Spahn(7-7) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Lindy McDaniel(2-3)
was given the loss.  He was unable to control the Washington offense and
allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.  

Wth the win Washington now has a record of 44-37.  With the loss, the New
York-AL ballclub's record is 31-50, worst in the league.
