Vic Saier had 2 base hits and 4 RBI as the Brooklyn Dodgers bested the St.
Louis Browns 11 to 5 at Sportsman'S Park.

Brooklyn jumped out to the early lead in the first inning when they scored 2
runs on 1 hit.  The key offensive moment was provided by Saier who silenced
the stadium when he doubled scoring two baserunners.  Brooklyn out-hit St.
Louis for the game, 13 hits to 8.  

Phil Douglas(7-7) got the win allowing 5 runs in 6 innings. Douglas got help
from George McQuillan who earned his 9th save.  Claude Hendrix(16-8) was the
losing pitcher.  He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits and 1 walk.
