Philadelphia won the game with a run in the top of the 8th inning. After an
out was recorded, Zack Wheat doubled. Frank Laporte came next and he stroked
a single scoring the run. New York was out-hit by Philadelphia, 15 hits to
8.
Bert Humphries(10-6) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 7 innings.
Humphries got help from Rube Foster who was credited with his 2nd save. Red
Faber(4-6) absorbed the loss in relief.
