Amos Strunk had 2 base hits and Jack Quinn went 6 strong innings as the New
York Giants defeated the Philadelphia Athletics by the score of 6 to 2 at
Polo Grounds.

Quinn(9-16) put on a good performance.  He didn't give up much, just 2 hits
and no walks in 6 innings.  New York had 11 hits overall, while Philadelphia
had 5.  

Quinn got help from Herb Pennock who earned his 6th save.  Bill James(15-10)
