The spectacular Philadelphia Athletics cruised to a 8 to 3 victory over the
pitiful New York Giants at Polo Grounds.
Jeff Tesreau(13-9) earned his pay with a solid performance for Philadelphia.
He went 8 innings and surrended up 6 hits and 7 walks. Philadelphia finished
with 15 hits while New York ended up with 6.
Red Faber(4-7) was the losing pitcher in relief. He gave up 5 runs in 3
innings of work. Philadelphia now has a record of a division leading 80-49.
New York can't seem to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a
miserable 2-8 record over the last couple weeks.
