In a close game it was the Brooklyn Superbas 8, the New York Giants 6 at
Washington Park.

Brooklyn jumped on top of New York in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring a
single run on 2 base hits.  Brooklyn totaled 11 hits on the afternoon.  

Ned Garvin(13-9) went 8 and 2/3 innings allowing 6 runs for the victory. Rube
Vickers earned his 4th save.  Joe McGinnity(21-11) was the losing pitcher.
He was unable to control the Brooklyn offense and allowed 11 hits and 4 walks
in 8 innings.  

Wth the win Brooklyn now has a record of 49-43.  With the loss New York now
has a record of 50-43.
