Hank Bauer hit a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds outscored the
Washington Nationals 10 to 6.

Bauer made sure the Cincinnati fans enjoyed themselves.  He smacked a single
in the 5th inning, doubled which brought home a run in the 7th inning and
belted a three-run homer in the 8th inning.  Washington scored in 6 different
innings, but their shaky pitching kept them from victory.  

Wally Burnette(6-4) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Joe
Nuxhall(1-2) was the loser.  He surrended 5 homeruns in his 8 innings.
