Johnny Antonelli knocked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and he had a strong outing
as the seemingly unstoppable Kansas City Athletics really laid it on the
floundering New York-AL Yankees 16 to 0.

Antonelli made sure the Kansas City fans enjoyed themselves.  He cracked a
two-run shot in the 5th inning and rifled a three-run blast in the 8th
inning.  Kansas City kept the scorekeepers busy in the 8th inning when they
had 6 runs on 7 hits.  Offensively, Kansas City was a juggernaut.  They
scored in 6 separate innings.  

Antonelli(11-7) was credited with the shutout. Chuck Stobbs(9-13) ended up
with the loss.  He was touched for 6 homeruns in his 8 innings of work.
