Shortstop Johnny Logan had 3 base hits as the Kansas City Athletics defeated
the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 6 to 4 at Forbes Field.

Bob Grim(6-3) came through for Jim Murphy with an excellent relief stint.  He
did not allow a hit or a walk in his 2 innings.  Kansas City had 8 hits for
the afternoon.  

Marv Grissom earned the save, his 29th.  The losing pitcher was Billy
Pierce(9-11).  This win by Kansas City continues their recent hot streak.  In
