The Brooklyn Dodgers batters feasted on the reeling New York-AL Yankees
pitching at Ebbets Field. The final score was a lop-sided 13 to 3.

Stan Musial provided much of the offense. He slapped a single which plated a
run in the 3rd inning, laced a base-knock in the 7th inning and brought the
hometown folks to their feet with a Grand Slammer in the 7th inning.
Brooklyn finished with 14 hits while New York-AL ended up with 8.

Harvey Haddix(9-10) went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory.
Vern Law(3-4) was tagged with the loss. He was unable to control the
Brooklyn offense and allowed 11 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
