Don Newcombe had a complete game at Municipal Stadium where the Washington
Nationals beat the Cleveland Indians by the score of 10 to 1.

Roy Sievers had a big day with his bat.  He doubled which brought home a run
in the 2nd inning, tripled bringing in a run in the 8th inning and banged out
a single resulting in a run in the 9th inning.  Washington finished with 15
hits in the victory.  

Newcombe(9-10) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. Paul
Foytack(7-12) absorbed the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 12 hits and 5
walks in 7 innings.
