bested the Chicago-NL Cubs 12 to 6 at Municipal Stadium.
Boyer enjoyed a big day at the plate. He doubled which plated a run in the
3rd inning and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 6th inning. Kansas City
had 12 hits for the afternoon.
Frank Lary(12-8) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 6
runs. Mike Garcia(12-9) was the loser. He was touched for 8 hits and 4 walks
in 5 innings.
