The Philadelphia-NL Phillies got by the St. Louis-AL Browns at Sportsman'S
Park.  The final score was 5 to 3.

St. Louis-AL was unable to claim the lead after Philadelphia-NL went ahead in
the 4th inning when they came up with 2 runs on 2 hits.  St. Louis-AL
threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.  

The win was credited to Doc Reisling(8-8) who went 6 innings allowing 2 runs.
Ray Fisher gained credit for his 5th save.  George Mullin(3-14) was given the
loss.  

Philadelphia-NL now has a record of 63-46.  Tim Singer was unhappy with his
club's recent performance.  'We can't keep losing games' he said.  'It gets
to be embarrassing after a while.'
