Bob Rush was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game at Forbes Field where the Washington Nationals beat the Pittsburgh
Pirates 8 to 3.

Rush(12-5) pitched well for Washington in their victory.  He was reached for 6
hits and no walks in 9 innings and allowed 3 gopher balls.  Washington
totaled 15 hits on the afternoon.  

Bob Friend(8-8) took the loss.  He surrendered 7 runs and 12 hits in 7
innings.
