Hank Aaron cracked 2 homeruns and Jim Wilson tossed a complete game as the New
York-AL Yankees defeated the Chicago-NL Cubs 15 to 6 at Wrigely Field.

Aaron had a big day at the plate. He slapped a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 4th inning, doubled with all
three runners coming home in the 6th inning and launched a rocket-shot out of
the park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 9th inning. New York-AL bats were
very productive in the 6th inning when they had 6 runs on 4 hits and the 9th
inning with 4 runs on 4 hits. New York-AL totaled 16 hits on the afternoon.

Wilson(4-5) was the winner allowing 6 runs for the game. Tom Gorman(4-9) was
the losing pitcher. He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits and 6 walks in 5 and
2/3 innings.
