Ted Kluszewski slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI and Art Fowler was on top of
his game, blanking New York-AL on just 3 hits as the Cincinnati Reds ballclub
embarrassed the awful New York-AL Yankees by the count of 11 to
0.

Kluszewski had a good day at the plate.  He belted a three-run homer in the
1st inning, slapped a single in the 4th inning and lined a base-hit which
brought home a run in the 5th inning.  Cincinnati had many opportunities
throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.  

Fowler(9-15) was credited with the shutout. Brooks Lawrence(5-19) was tagged
with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 14 hits and 4 walks in 5 and
1/3 innings.
