Eddie Foster had 4 hits and 5 RBI as the Brooklyn Dodgers defeated the Boston
Red Sox 14 to 8 at Fenway Park.
Foster was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He doubled plating all three
baserunners in the 3rd inning, ripped a single which brought home a run in
the 4th inning, stroked a one-base hit resulting in a run in the 6th inning
and singled in the 8th inning. Brooklyn had a total of 16 hits for the game.
Bullet Joe Bush(10-6) went 5 innings allowing 8 runs for the victory. Ben
Tincup(5-6) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 5 runs in 3 innings of work.
