Jimmy Walsh slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI as the streaking Philadelphia
Athletics outscored the St. Louis Browns in 11 innings 8 to 7.

The score was knotted at 6 after nine innings.  Philadelphia won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Bill Carrigan
initiated the scoring spurt when he stroked a single.  One out later, Walsh
came to the plate and clubbed a two-run home run.  Philadelphia finished with
13 hits in the victory.  

Rube Foster(14-5) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 3 innings. Raleigh
Aitchison(6-4) was tagged with the loss in relief.  He pitched 1 inning and
surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
