In a good matchup it was the Brooklyn Dodgers 7, the Cincinnati Reds 4 at

Harvey Haddix(16-12) contributed a pedestrian performance to earn the win.  He
was reached for 5 hits and no walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.  Haddix struckout 6
Cincinnati batters and served up 4 'big flies'.  Brooklyn managed 9 hits in
their victory.  

Ray Narleski gained credit for his 16th save.  The losing pitcher was Ray
Crone(8-11).  He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 3
innings.
